30th Anniversary
Conference

August 7, 2018 marked  the Caribbean Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions 30th year of existence.   The momentous occasion was marked by the a three day Anniversary Conference under the theme “Building a Future on the Foundation of the Past”.  The topics selected for the conference sought to review the distance traveled and explore the journey ahead not just from the viewpoint of CAROSAIs members but also from the opinion of our stakeholders.

We would like to thank our partners for their support which commenced with the planning of the event and continued through to the execution of the event:

• The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for its session entitled Institutional Strengthening for the SAI of the Future.
• The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Caribbean (ICAC) for partnering  on the Strengthening the Foundation for Future Relevance session.
• The INTOSAI Donor Initiative (IDI) for supporting the sessions on SAI Independence and  Acting in the Public’s Interest: A SAI’s Response. The second session covered issues such as SAIs Fighting Corruption and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Programme and Cross Cutting Audits.
• The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) for its session entitled Generation Next:  Managing Talent in the Public Sector.
